I am your Artificial Intelligence enabled chat technology here to support you and your SF State needs. I am accessible 24/7 via SMS text messaging to offer you with personalized support.

How I work

As an SF State student, you may receive text messages from me, from time-to-time with the aim of helping you get:

  • timely information and guidance ahead of important enrollment related deadlines
  • directly and efficiently linked to campus resources, staff and activities
  • an immediate response from me about all things SF State

You can also live chat with me in real-time anytime. And if I can’t help you with a question, then I’ll connect you to an SF State human for additional support.

Last, you can text #Help to receive human support within a 48-hour period.

How to Receive and Continue to Receive Support from Me

  1. Don’t Opt-Out of receiving my text message support before you may actually need it. However, if you prefer to opt-out, then simply reply #STOP and we will remove you from all future text message communications.
  2. If you previously opted-out but would like to opt-back-in, then simply text me again to re-establish engagement.
  3. It is important to have current contact information on file with the university. Be sure to update your personal information in SF State Gateway Student Center each year to ensure we have your most current contact information, not just for me, but for all important university communications.

Follow these steps below:

  • Open the Student Center
  • Navigate to the Personal Information section (bottom of Student Center)
  • Click the Demographics Datalink
  • There are seven tabs that provide the following personal information topics to add, edit or delete:
    • Addresses
    • Names
    • Phone Numbers
    • Email Addresses
    • Emergency Contacts
    • Demographic Information
    • Ethnicity
  • Save changes
